The Youngstown State Penguins are not projected to do very well in the Horizon Conference this season. They struggled offensively in their opener vs. lowly Oberlin, shooting less than 40%, and were able to knock down just 4-of-16 from deep. Youngstown State is 1-11 straight-up the past couple of seasons after a double-digit home win, and under head coach Jerry Slocum, they are 15-72 straight-up as a road dog.
