BYU Cougars vs Princeton Tigers Point Spread Picks

This is going to be an interesting game as Princeton loves the slow down pace while BYU loves to get out and run. It is a tough spot for BYU having to make the long trip east, especially after losing their PG in Nick Emery who left the team. That leaves BYU with just two proven starters to begin the season. While that did not show up against lowly Mississippi Valley State in the opener, the travel and unconventional style of the Tigers will be tough to overcome. Princeton played up in their opener on the road vs. Butler, and came away having sot over 50%, and now come home in a much friendlier spot against an untested opponent with a big travel log and no point guard. The Princeton Tigers are the odds on favorite to win the Ivy League Title, but this is a very huge step up in class taking on BYU. What makes this venue even more difficult, aside from the long trip from New Jersey, is the high altitude, and Princeton certainly is not a deep team. They very well could wilt down the stretch. The Cougars have a built in edge on their home court where they are now 85-65-3 ATS as a favorite of -19 or less. That improves to 60% ATS vs. non-conference opponents.
