Yet here they are standing in against a much more tested BYU team trying to play their way into the dance. Iona has shot the ball great this season, but BYU is very good on the defensive end of the floor where they allow less than 42% for the season. Iona has been porous on the defensive end, allowing over 45%. The Gaels faced just two teams outside their conference that made the tournament, while the last seven Cougars’ losses have seen six of them come at the expense of dancing teams.
