The Akron Zips bring back three starters from a team that went 22-11 last season. They will open on the road vs. the South Dakota St. Jackrabbits. Soth Dakota St. finished last season at 19-13, and that was a bad year for them, and I look for them to bounceback. Akron must replace Xavier Castaneda and his 21.7ppg from a season ago will be greatly missed. Trendon Hankerson and Garvin Clarke, both guards, have also moved on. The Zips are going to have some growing pains in the backcourt, and will need shooters to step up. S. Dakota St. is really tough at home, and the Zips have a lot of green ballhandlers.
