This is a bad spot for Washington, even against the 0-4 Bears. The Commanders gave it all they had before losing 34-31 to Philadelphia on Sunday, and now have to come back four days later to play a Thursday game. Sam Howell did bounce back from a terrible performance the week before against Buffalo and threw for 290 yards, including a tying 10-yard TD pass to Jahan Dotson as time expired in regulation. Chicago came oh so close to ending its losing streak, but blew a 28-7 third-quarter lead and lost 31-28 to Denver. Justin Fields completed his first 16 passes and finished with 335 yards and four TD passes and the Bears had a 471-311 edge in yards of offense.
