Atlanta Braves vs Cleveland Guardians

This is supposed to be a big test for the Atanta Braves as they host the Cleveland Guardians who have been the best team in the AL to this point of the season at 18-8. The Braves have been on fire as they are 10-1 over their last 11 games. They have ambushed all teir opponents and in the last 10 games they are averaging 5.2 runs a game while the pitching staff is yielding a stingy 2.3 runs per contest. The Guardians had no answer vs Chris Sale last night in a 6-2 loss in the series opener. I don't think they will hve much success vs. Charlie Morton either as Morton has won nine of his last 12 decisions, and is 24-10 in his last 34 home decisions. I like Atlanta.

Cleveland and Atlanta have played good baseball out of the gate with the Braves at 17-6 and the Guardians at 18-7. I see some hidden value in this game. Cleveland has a great record on the road where they have started the season at 10-3, but there is something hidden there. The Guardians have yet to face a team on the road that has a .600 winning percentage or better. The Braves have played last year's World Series participants and have taken five out of six from them at home. I think the Braves are for real and playing as many thought they would, while the Gyardians are in a weak division, and are playing a better team than they have seen all season on the road. Atlanta suffered a rare loss as the Guardians won 6-5 in 10 innings when David Fry hit a walk-off single and the Braves ended their nine-game win streak. The Braves are 27-13 on the road and have a healthy eight-game lead in the NL East and Michael Soroka will make his fourth start of the season and he had his best outing on Friday when he gave up three runs on six hits in six innings in a 16-4 win over Miami. Atlanta's bullpen is #3 in the majors with a 3.47 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 29 saves. Cal Quantrill is having a nightmare season for Cleveland with a 2-5 record and 6.18 ERA and he has been clobbered his past three starts allowing 20 runs on 20 hits in 11 2/3 innings and the Guardians have been outscored 24-6. Atlanta has won 40 of 55 road games versus teams with losing records and the Guardians have lost 11 of 14 interleague home contests versus right-handed starters. Take the Braves - Max Play.
