Erik Kallgren won again in his third start for Toronto, which beat Carolina 3-2 on Thursday with the rookie stopping 36 shots and that followed his 4-0 victory over Dallas two nights before. The Maple Leafs did it without suspended Auston Matthews, who is due back tonight. The Maple Leafs had lost four of six while sorting out their goaltending problems, but they have bounced back to win their last two against Dallas and the Hurricanes. Nashville comes off a 5-4 loss to Philadelphia as the Flyers scored two late goals to win it. It was the second time in three starts that Juuse Saros gave up five goals. The Maple Leafs are 41-13 their past 54 games after allowing two or fewer goals their previous game and they have won 17 of 24 as road favorites.
