St. Louis at Colorado

St. Louis opens its season tonight and the Blues have some additions, including forward Brandon Saad, who played with the Avalanche last season and forward Pavel Buchnevich and veteran James Neal. Colorado swept the Blues in last season's Stanley Cup playoffs while outscoring them 20-7. The Avalanche beat Chicago on Tuesday as they pummeled Marc-Andre Fleury in his first game with the Blackhawks. Darcy Kuemper had 34 saves in his Colorado debut. The Avalanche will have to play without Gabriel Landeskog, who is suspended and Nathan MacKinnon in questionable (COVID-19 protocol). Still, Colorado has won eight of the past 10 meetings and has a game under its belt and St. Louis has lost the last five meetings at Colorado. Take the Avalanche.
