Gerard Gallant is doing wonders as coach of the New York Rangers after doing the same with the Vegas Golden Knights, and his team has won five of its last six to sit atop the Metropolitan Division with 60 points. The Rangers come off a 3-2 shootout victory over Los Angeles on Monday, when Adam Fox scored the deciding goal in the sixth round and Igor Shesterkin stopped 28 shots. Shesterkin is a stellar 20-4-2-0 this season with a 2.07 goals-against average and .937 save percentage. Columbus has to play a back-to-back after getting pummeled 6-0 by Calgary last night, their third loss in a row. New York has won both meetings this season and the Rangers are 11-1 versus a team that allowed at least five goals its previous game, going 14-3 against an opponent that scored two or fewer.
