Nashville at Colorado

Colorado lost six of its last seven games, and Nashville has lost four of its last five, but the Predators had to fight for a playoff berth while the Avalanche clinched a playoff spot weeks ago. The Avs will have to ramp it up again, and they hope to get Gabriel Landeskog back as he has been out with an injury since mid-March, but it will take time to get his timing back. The Predators have won the last three meetings, but it looks as if goalie Juuse Saros will be out for awhile as he suffered a left ankle injury last Tuesday. David Rittich likely will start in his place, and he won a shootout victory over the Avalanche on Thursday. Darcy Kuemper has a 2.54 goals-against average for Colorado, but he has lost three of his last four decisions. Colorado allows 2.56 goals per game at home, and Nashville scores 3.29 on the road. Nazem Kadri, the Avs' second-line center, who has 28 goals and 59 assists, is doubtful with a non-COVID illness. The Avalanche have averaged just 2.57 goals in their last seven games.
