Colorado at Carolina

Colorado blew a three-goal lead and lost 5-3 to New Jersey on Tuesday, but the Avalanche still has the best record in the NHL and Darcy Kuemper will be in net again tonight with a 27-7-1-1 record and 2.57 goals-against average. The teams have not met in more than two years, but the road team has won the last four meetings. Colorado has bounced back to be 7-0 after allowing at least five goals its previous game and the Avs have won 10 of their last 13 road games and they are 48-19 playing with one day of rest. Carolina goalie Frederik Andersen is questionable and Antti Raanta will otherwise get the start for the Hurricanes. Colorado is 46-17 agaisnt a team that allowed two or fewer goals its previous game.
