Boston finished last season as the Presidents' Cup winner, as they scored the most points in the regular season standings. They came out of the gate very slow this season at 2-4 and were out-scored 17-11 in the process. They quickly shifted gears and have begun to resemble the team from last year that won consistently. They have put together a five-game winning streak, doubling down on opponents, and outscoring them in a 2 to 1 ratio 18-9. Toronto has played consistently well, but were outclassed at home already this season by the Bruins in an uncompetitive 4-1 loss. They will have trouble in this one as the Bruins have been lethal on a day of rest at 39-14 in their last 53, and Boston owns a 37-18 mark in the last 55 in this series, which includes eight wins in their last 11 trips to Air Canada.
