Alexander Volkov vs. Curtis Blaydes

This is the Main Event in the UFC Heavyweight division. 31-year old Alexander Volkov is 1-1 in his last two UFC bouts, losing via KO to Derrick Lewis along with a Unanimous Decision win over Greg Hardy. Volkov prefers to stand up and fight, but he faces a difficult matchup with Curtis Blaydes, the No. 3 ranked Heavyweight contender. Blaydes has it all. He is capable of fighting on the ground, averaging 6.63 takedowns per 15 minutes. He also has outstanding knockout power with 3.74 significant strikes per minute. Blaydes has 10 KO/TKO victories with a 13-2 MMA mark, 8-2 in UFC. And those two losses were both against Francis Ngannou, who is No. 2 in the UFC heavyweight rankings. He deserves plenty of respect for taking on Ngannou twice. Since losing his most recent bout to Ngannou, Blaydes has ripped off three straight wins over Justin Willis, Shamil Abdurakhimov, and Junior dos Santos with the last two in the second round.
