New York snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory on Saturday, but the Mets still have lost seven of their past nine games and are eight games back in the Wild Card race. Washington has Erick Fedde going today, and he gave up a run on six hits in 6 1/3 innings against Miami on Tuesday as the Nationals won 5-1. Fedde has pitched well against the Mets this season with a 2.81 ERA while allowing five runs on 12 hits in 16 innings. Tylor Megill got destroyed against San Francisco, giving up seven runs on 11 hits in 3 2/3 innings his last outing, and the Mets have lost four of his past five starts. Megill has a 7.03 ERA in August with a .324 opponent batting average. New York has also lost seven of its last eight home games. Play the Nationals.
