Texas at Toronto

Toronto won its third in a row and swept the Royals as Kevin Kiermaier hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the seventh in Sunday's 5-2 victory. The Blue Jays allowed only seven runs in the three games and they have Chris Bassitt going tonight and he is 13-7 with a 3.69 ERA and 1.18 WHIP and he has allowed only one run on 10 hits his past two starts in 16 innings pitched. Bassitt has been particularly effective at home where he has a 7-3 record and 2.80 ERA with a .185 opponent batting average. Texas batters have no home runs and only three extra-base hits against Bassitt in 57 at-bats. Texas won its last two games against Oakland, but the Rangers still have lost seven of 10 and Dane Dunning has been hit hard lately, including a 14-1 loss to Houston on Tuesday when he was clobbered for nine runs on 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings. Toronto is 7-0 in Bassitt's past seven starts after allowing two or fewer runs its previous game. Take the Blue Jays.
