Texas at Tampa Bay

Texas had no trouble winning Game 1 and the Rays helped out by making four errors while getting only six hits as Jordan Montgomery and two relievers shut them out 4-0. Tampa Bay now has to face Nathan Eovaldi, who is 12-5 with a 3.63 ERA and 1.14 WHIP although he did have a bad September. Eovaldi faced the Rays twice this season and allowed four runs on nine hits in 12 1/3 innings. His counterpart in this game, Zach Eflin, had his second-worst month of the year in September when he yielded 12 runs on 24 hits in 27 innings. Texas has won nine of 13 overall and it has beaten the Rays four times in a row while allowing a total of only six runs.
