Texas at Oakland

Texas has won six in a row to go up by 2 1/2 games over Houston for first place in the AL West and the Rangers have outscored opponents 39-14 in that stretch, inclduing 6-0 over Miami on Sunday when they smacked three solo homers plus a two-run shot by Nathaniel Lowe. Dane Dunning is 9-4 with a 1.14 WHIP and he comes off a 11-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday when he gave up a run on three hits in 7 2/3 innings. Dunning is 6-1 with a 2.60 ERA and .201 opponent batting average in night games and Oakland batters are 8-for-39 for a .201 batting average against him. Oakland will start Ken Waldichuk and he likely will last only three or four innings as he usually does and he is 2-7 with a astronomical 6.52 ERA and 1.74 WHIP. The Athletics continue to have the worst bullpen in the majors with a 5.53 ERA and only 19 saves. Take the Rangers.
