St. Louis at New York

New York won its second straight 6-1 over the Cardinals, who were held to five hits, and Tommy Pham had two two-out RBI singles for the Mets. St. Louis continued its disastrous season with its sixth loss in a row and fell to 14-22 on the road. The Cardinals have been outscored 41-19 during the losing streak and are 8 1/2 games back of first even in the weak NL Central. Kodai Senga is 6-3 with a 3.34 ERA and he comes off a good performance against Pittsburgh last Saturday when he allowed one run on two hits in seven innings. Senga has been especially effective at home this year with a 1.93 ERA and .158 opponent batting average. Ancient Adam Wainwright is almost certainly in his final season and he owns a 1.71 WHIP for the Cardinals. New York has won six of the past eight meetings and the Mets are 7-2-1 UNDER their past 10 home games and 6-1-1 UNDER at home versus right-handed starters and 5-0 UNDER following a win.
