The San Diego Padres have been a mystery to this point. This team was built to contend with the LA Dodgers, but at 25-29 through the first third of the season, it has been disappointing. The Padres are showing signs that they may be coming to life as they are 5-3 in their last eight games, including an easy 9-4 win last night in Miami. Miami is holding its own in the NL East at 28-27, but has a losing record in their last 11 games. The Padres are 16-11 in the last 27 meetings and have won the last two here scoring a combined 19 runs. I think the Padres are ready to make a run. I like San Diego in this one.
