Pittsburgh at Arizona

Pittsburgh blew a 6-0 lead and lost 7-6 to the Mets a day after coming from behind by six runs and winning on Saturday. It snapped a three-game winning streak by the Pirates and now they head to Arizona for a series with the lowly Diamondbacks, who managed to beat the Cubs 6-4 after losing their previous four games. Arizona is projected to lose 116 games and it is 7-22 its past 29 home games. The D-backs are just 5-16 overall in the first game of a series. Also, the Diamondbacks are 6-20 their past 26 home games versus right-handed starters and most of the Arizona hitters have never faced Pittsburgh starter Chase De Jong. Caleb Smith is 2-6 with a 4.54 ERA and has been pummeled his last two starts allowing 14 runs on 11 hits in only seven innings. The Diamondbacks lost 22-1 vs. the Dodgers in his last game.
