New York at Minnesota

The Minnesota Twins have stretched out their lead in the AL Central to 6.5 games. The Twins have won five of their last seven games. Meanwhile, the NY Mets spent big in the off-season and expected to be playing for a ring in October. Instead, the Mets sit an astounding 28 games behind the Atlanta Braves in the NL Central in a lost season. They unloaded Scherzer and Verlander to lighten the payroll. Minnesota was an easy 5-2 winner in the series opener last night. The Mets are just 6-11 in games started by David Peterson this season with opponents scoring 5.29 runs per game on average in his 17 starts. I like Minnesota in this one.
