Detroit appears to be challenging its 2013 record when it lost 119 games as the Tigers are worse than ever while losing eight of their past nine games, including 7-3 to the Twins last night. Kyle Garlick hit a home run to lead off the game and Minnesota hit two more while handing Detroit another loss. It snapped a three-game losing streak for the Twins, who have won eight of the past 10 meetings with the Tigers. Jose Berrios has allowed only three runs in 16 2/3 innings on the road this season and Jose Urena has been touched for eight runs (seven earned) in only 10 innings at home for the Tigers. Detroit is 29-78 its past 107 home games and 28-70 in the second game of a series. Look for more of the same today and play the Twins.
