New York just got swept by the Angels and the Yankees now have lost four straight and six of seven as they severely miss the injured Aaron Judge while Aaron Boone can't seem to push the right buttons in managing the games. The pitching has failed the Yankees also recently and they have been outscored 24-14 their past four games and tonight they'll have Clarke Schmidt on the mound and he is 2-5 with a 3.93 ERA and .264 opponent batting average at home this year. Kansas City will counter with Alec Marsh, who will make his fourth start and his last two kept the Royals in the games and he has allowed five runs on eight hits his past 11 innings. Kansas City got good pitching performances in three of the four games against Detroit, but the Royals need to score more as they did in their 11-10 win on Tuesday.
