Houston at St. Louis

The Houston Astros have fallen back some this season from the teams we have seen in recent years. They are 43-37 on the season and trying to play through a stretch of 20 games that has left them a woeful 7-13. The St. Louis Cardinals have split the first two games with Houston in this series. The Cardinals are a shocking 33-46 on the season but have shown signs of getting things going as they are 6-3 in their last nine games. The offense has come to life as it has produced five or more runs in six of the nine games. Compare that to scoring five or more runs just twice in their prior 18 games! St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright has been lethal in his career vs Houston as he is 13-1 with a 1.35 ERA in 14 career starts vs the Astros. I like St. Louis on the run line.
