The Tigers roster of what appeared to be AAA players has grown some. Young players tend to gain and lose confidence with the latest results, and right now those aren't good for the Tigers. Detroit will come in having lost four straight games. Toronto is on the edge of falling out of playoff contention and needs a good run. Robbie Ray takes the ball for the Jays tonight. Ray has had a better season than his record as opponents have topped the five-run mark in just four of his 21 starts. That's usually good enough as the Giants lead Major League baseball having scored five or more runs a game 66 times, and the Jays have done so 62 times.
