Detroit at Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh has won three straight and five of seven after beating the Tigers 4-1 on Tuesday night, powered by a two-run homer by Liover Peguero. Detroit continues to be one of the worst hitting teams in the majors averaging only 3.9 runs per game while the Pirates average 4.2, and they have gone UNDER four of their past six games. Detroit has gone UNDER its past six road games versus right-handed starters. Osvaldo Bido has allowed 15 runs in 30 innings for Pittsburgh and he likely will go only two or three innings. Eduardo Rodriguez almost was traded yesterday, but he turned it down and will start today for the Tigers. Rodriguez gave up four runs in 4 2/3 innings his last start against the Angels and he is 6-5 with a 2.95 ERA on the season. Detroit has lost six of its past seven games.
