Detroit at Boston

The Boston Red Sox are still very much in contention for a wildcard playoff spot as they are just three games back. Boston has shown steady improvement all season and over their last 35 games they own a 22-13 record. They have been able to use Fenway Park to their advantage as they are 13-5 here in their last 18 games. The Tigers are 6-10 in their last 16 games, but the pitching in those 10 losses has been futile. The Tiger's staff has allowed 74 runs in those 10 losses or 7.4 runs per game. I think the Sox will be scoring a lot here as they average 5.42 runs per game here on the season. Boston has won their last three games here as the opponent has scored five total runs in the three games. I like Boston in this one.
