The Atlanta Braves have a 5.5-game lead for the best record in the NL. The Pirates have a misleading record at 51-62. I say that because they went into May at 20-9 and in first place in the NL Central. They have since gone 31-53 and have been one of the worst teams in the NL. The Braves have done very well here when they have taken the field as a road favorite, as they have won five of the last six in that role. Max Fried is under the radar for the Braves. Fried has made six starts and three of those ended with the opponent not scoring a single run. That is a huge edge as the Pirates start Quinn Priester.
