Arizona at Oakland

Oakland won 5-2 on Tuesday, handing the Diamondbacks their 18th road loss in a row and sixth straight overall. The Athletics did it without recording an extra-base hit and Chris Bassitt held Arizona to two runs on four hits in seven innings. It won't get any easier for the Diamondbacks tonight as they face Sean Manaea, who has allowed only two runs his last 20 2/3 innings and he is 4-2 with a 3.36 ERA on the season. Arizona counters with Matt Peacock, who has given up nine earned runs on 22 hits in 21 innings in four games started. The Athletics have won five of their past six games to stay in first place in the AL West and they have won the last five meetings. Arizona is 5-16 its past 21 games after allowing at least five runs its previous game. Take the Athletics as my first MLB Max Play.
