2nd pick: #3 (Monterey Kris) (6-1) - Calif. bred raced evenly here at this level going six furlongs March 21. Four-year-old broke here maiden at this distance Feb 23 and one-run type should factor today as she's back at it for the first time since then.
3rd pick: #7 (Mardee S) (4-1) - Grey mare sprinted clear last out and held to finish second, a 'neck' in front of 'Singapore Bid.' By far a career best, it seemed to come out of the blue. If repeatable, it would make her dangerous.
