2nd pick: #1 (Sammy Wonder Stone) (2-1) - The probable favorite, he's shipping in from Santa Anita for his local debut. Cal bred has fine early speed and has shown it several times against much tougher fields than this. I could have easily made him the top pick.
3rd pick: #6 (Duty Hours) (5-2) - 6yo has been competitive in both starts here at this level in dirt sprints. He did not race at all at age 2 through 5, so he does have some issues. Home bred from Arkansas must be left in the three-horse win mix.
4th pick: #7 (Perfect Surprise) (6-1) - One of four making their debuts, 5yo Cal bred has some fine works showing and is in a good small barn (Chad Story). Can grab a share if he runs to his morning drills.
