When last in action she raced evenly while wide, checking in fifth of 12, beaten 3 1/2 lengths going a mile at Churchill Downs for a $30K claiming price. Claimed that day by Val Brinkerhoff, he adds blinkers and has her nicely spotted for her Turf Paradise debut.
2nd pick: #1 (Chelokee's Gem) (3-1) - She chased and held down the place spot to a much the best winner racing here at this level facing males Dec 27. It was her first start in eight months and trainer Molly Pearson brings her back quickly and has her back in with her own sex.
