2nd pick: #6 (Elios Mios) (5-2) - Very lightly-raced 3yo is the morning line and probable favorite. He won his debut going 6.5 furlongs at Belmont May 28, then finished 2nd at this same distance at this level July 5. An obvious contender.
3rd pick: #4 (Leap to Glory) (8-1) - He's another that's facing winners for the first time. Home bred looked good when breaking his maiden going 6 furlongs at Belmont July 11 in his 2nd start back following a 6-month layoff. Lasix was added for the first time that afternoon and this colt is a threat at a square price.
4th pick: #7 (Candy Zip) (10-1) - He showed nothing here at this level going 6 furlongs on a sloppy surface July 27. However, it was his first start since Oct. 15 and he slammed into the side of the gate at the break. Well backed at the windows that day, he's worked since and can factor with a better beginning.
