Top pick: #7 (ULTIMATE DECISION) - Gelding by "Rock Hard Ten" has a nice set-up today from trainer Ron Ellis. Runs third back off a 70-day layoff, drops in price, stretches-out in distance, and has his blinkers removed after a one race experiment. Faces a weak field, has good early speed, and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Sidepocket Kid) - He's been competitive in three of four starts since dropping down to this price and in his last pair at Hollywood Park he improved his overall performance level. Working well locally and he's a major factor this afternoon.
3rd pick: #4 (Pleasant Soul) - Longshot raced very wide last out at Hollywood in the same race as "Kid" and was beaten 8 1/2 lengths by that rival. Gelding has a trio of solid works on this surface since that effort and can impact here at a big price.
4th pick: #2 (Confer) - He hasn't raced since October 1st of 2010, but is working fast for his return and all of the drills are on this surface. It's tough to return off a long layoffs going two-turns and his task is a difficult one. May get a share if ready.
