2nd pick: #5 (Himiko) (2-1) - This filly by 'American Pharoah' sold for $1,000,000 as a weanling back in Nov. of 2017. Working very fast for Bob Baffert, he's won with 21 of 75 (29%) with first-time-starters since Jan. 1 of 2019. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #11 (Scarlet Lips) (12-1) - This longshot has been idle since late Sept. and returns today off a private trainer change to Peter Miller, 21% with new arrivals in 2019-20. Competitive in both dirt sprints, the new barn has her working steadily while switching her to the grass.
