2nd pick: #4 (Vartan) (5-1) - One-run type is racing third back off almost a two month break. He ran both wide and evenly last out Los Alamitos and is stretching out a furlong. He should be finishing fast.
3rd pick: #1 (Ladies Man) (8-1) - Speedy sort broke his maiden here in wire-to-wire fashion Oct 11. He's tired in all three starts facing winners, but has the best early speed and is breaking from the rail. Dangerous if he gets an uncontested advantage in the first 1/4 mile.
4th pick: #7 (Feynman) (10-1) - Speed/stalker is facing winners for the first time and is shortening up in distance. He's been competitive sprinting here in the past and can factor at a big price.
