It was her first start since early December of 2015 and she probably needed the effort for conditioning purposes. Home bred can take this with normal second back improvement.
2nd pick: #7 (PontotocQueen) (9-5) - The morning line favorite, she finished second at this level and distance Nov 4. Three-year-old has shown steady improvement since coming of a near five month layoff Oct 12 and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Gospel Glamour) (2-1) - Another that's getting better, she's checked in second here in two straight going a bit shorter. Stalker is stretching out to six furlongs for the first time and that's in her favor.
4th pick: #2 (Save Dixie Faith) (6-1) - Filly drops back down following a pair of very poor starts facing tougher. Home bred missed by a 'head' at this level at odds of 31-1 when debuting here Sept. 24. Can grab a share with a repeat of that effort.
