It was her first since late Nov. and she was claimed by Karl Broberg that afternoon. He wins at a 27% rate first off a claim and he moves this daughter of 'Tale of the Cat' up in class.
2nd pick: #6 (C P Quality) (5-2) - From the Asmussen barn, she runs first off a claim (21%) and he moves her back up in class. Filly has won two of four after returning from 8.5 months on the sidelines and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Country Daisy) (3-1) - Stretch runner rallied to win going 7 furlongs for a $17,500 tag Sept. 18 as she clesred the 3l condition. Raised up to this level Oct. 16, she closed strongly while wide to check in second. A fast and/or contested pace would help her chances out.
4th pick: #5 (Valokie) (9-2) - A lightly raced 5yo mare, she's gone 7-2-1-1 facing fellow state breds and is moving in with 'open' company for the first time. She's a fine fit on figures and stalker must be left in the mix.
