It was his first local attempt following a pair of starts in Kentucky and is from the barn of leading trainer Steve Asmussen. I give him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Rosie's City Boy) (5-1) - Bred/owned/and trained by Clyde Trout, this gelding tired after setting a pressured pace here at this level and distance Oct. 19. He would eventually finish 5.5 lengths behind 'Code Runner', but he had to be sent hard from an inside draw that day. 3yo moves to the outside of that rival and think he's a win candidate at a square price.
3rd pick: #3 (Flexati) (10-1) - He's stretching out in distance following a trio of sprints. Grey gelding rallied while wide to finish third of 12, beaten 5 lengths at this level going 6 furlongs Sept. 4. By far his best to date, he's capable of getting a share at a big price.
4th pick: #1 (Algebra) (6-1) - Another sprinter that stretching out, he has early speed, the rail, and he rallied to finish second going 6 furlongs Oct. 9. Texas bred must be left in the mix.
