Son of "Indian Charlie" was making his first start since undergoing a trainer change to the fine barn of Mike Trombetta. Colt has a sharp work since that comebacker and is the choice for the win.
2nd pick: #9 (Storm Proof) - Beautifully-bred colt ("Storm Cat") will be cutting back in distance after chasing the pace going long at the Meadowlands last out. Blinkers are added today by trainer Alan Goldberg and colt has a pair of sharp works since his last race.
3rd pick: #5 (Logan on the Hill) - Chased the pace in the mud at the Meadowlands in his debut on November 7. Son of "Yonaguska" could impact this at a very big price.
4th pick: #3 (Fissato) - Excellent debut run at the Meadowlands. Set/pressed the pace from the get-go and continued to battle all the way to the wire, winding up a very close third. Barn (Alan Seewald) is solid second time out (19%).
