Race was his first in 80 days and he's brought back quickly and dropped in half. Trainer Scott Fairlie did well here last winter with Canadian shippers and this colt looked well meant.
2nd pick: #1 (Azu Were) - Missed by a nose at this price when dropped into a claimer for the first time on Dec. 12, then last out chased the pace before tiring facing tougher. Drops back down and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Ace on Top) - Freshened-up since late November, he was competitive in a pair on this surface at this price at that time. His three outings are filled with horses that came back to win next out.
