She tired at Del Mar after setting a quick and pressured pace for a $50K claiming price Aug. 14th. It was her first since May 28, and she's worked twice since. The drop is significant, and veteran Stu Elliot (six for 11 in the first three days at the meet) is aboard.
2nd pick: #8 (Big Miss Steak) (3-1) - The field's lone debutante, home bred has worked seven times at Del Mar since late July. In a good barn (Mike Machowsky), filly need not be anything special to factor against this group.
3rd pick: #7 (U Go gal) (7-2) - Grey filly rallied following a slow start to finish 2nd of six, beaten 3.5 lengths while going 5.5 furlongs at Santa Anita June 4. Working fast for this, she should like the long stretch here.
4th pick: #1 (Lea's Reward) (5-2) - Away slowly in a well bet debut Aug. 5th at Del Mar, she rallied into a quick pace to check in a close up 3rd. She needs to break cleanly for her best chance at winning this.
