He broke his maiden on the Santa Anita dirt in his previous start (Jan. 4), and I give him a slight edge today.
2nd pick: #4 (Soul Owner) (6-1) - Longshot finished 4th last out at Santa Anita after being bumped at the break. That followed a very sharp maiden win at Turf Paradise, and this 4yo should be involved from gate-to-wire at a square price.
3rd pick: #2 (Rebel War) (7-2) - Speedy sort tired late to check in 3rd May 31 at Santa Anita. He was a length better than a troubled 'Soul Owner' that afternoon and is an obvious threat today in his present form.
