Top pick: #9 (WIRE TRANZFER) - Colt has good early speed and last out chased a fast pace from a tough outside post (12th of 12) at Calder facing special weights before weakening. Effort was his first in 4 1/2 months and trainer Bill White will drop him into a claimer for the first time. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Skibo in July) - Colt by "Songandaprayer" finished third last out at Calder facing tougher and it was the best start of his five-race career. Speed/stalker runs third off a two month break and is a big threat.
3rd pick: #8 (Etzeme) - Nice effort on this surface at this price on Dec. 11 saw him rally to finish third, beaten a length. Race was his first in blinkers and this colt should get a fast pace to rally into.
4th pick: #11 (Fast N Furious Cat) - Ahother with some speed and he'll be going turf to dirt and stretching-out a furlong. Draws outside of the other pace and that's to his advantage.
