He rallied to win a minor stakes here Feb. 18 and that ran his local record to 11-5-2-2. Stalker draws well, has a fast work March 24, and Irad Ortiz Jr stays aboard.
2nd pick: #5 (Marconi) (5-1) - He's one of two entered by trainer Todd Pletcher and the pair race uncoupled. Very lightly raced, he finished 4th of 8, beaten 2.5 lengths going a mile here facing weaker Feb. 6. It was his first start since April 7 and he most likely needed the effort. Working very fast since, this once promising $2,000,000 son of 'Tapit' can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #4 (Biblical) (6-1) - The second of the Pletcher trained pair, no-speed type rallied to beat weaker here going 8.5 furlongs Feb 23. It was his third start back following a 9-month layoff and it earned this $800K son of 'Tapit' a career-best figure.
4th pick: #7 (Rocketry) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, he's been unraced since taking the Breeders' Cup Marathon (G2) going 14 furlongs Nov. 2 at Churchill Downs. Very consistent 5yo can 'run all day' and is an obvious contender at a short price if ready.
