Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (RIDE ON FAITH) (7-2) - Gelding is racing second back from a two month break and is switching from grass to dirt while shortening up a furlong. Working fast at Palm Meadows, he's been competitive on the dirt acing tougher in the past and looks set for a big effort.
2nd pick: #4 (For the Gipper) (4-1) - Speed/stalker moves back up in class after finishing second for a $30K tag going 6 furlongs Nov. 16. From a winning barn, 4-year-old should be involved from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #7 (Florida Cotton) (5-1) - Grey gelding is taking the big drop into claimers for the first time. He just missed here at this trip facing tougher June 18 before heading in for a six month layoff. He tired while wide on the grass in his return Dec. 15 and is a serious factor at a square price.
4th pick: #8 (Lookin Savy) (12-1) - He's owned by the same people as 'Ride On Faith' but they have different trainers. Debuting 4-year-old by 'Lookin At Lucky' has a nice series of local works on view and trainer Ed Broome has Tyler Gaffilione aboard.
