He runs off a major trainer change to Saffie Joseph Jr who is 16 of 52 (31%) at this meet and who wins at a 30% rate with new arrivals to his barn. This 3yo worked a bullet half-mile from the gate Jan 6 and will be tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #1 (Mount Olympus) (3-1) - A debuting son of 'Congrats', he sold for $110,000 as a 2yo in training last spring and runs first out for a $35K tag. Trainer Todd Pletcher is having an excellent meet and he wins at a 22% rate first out. This 3yo has leading rider Luis Saez aboard and need not be much to factor against this group.
3rd pick: #2 (Vin for the Win) (8-1) - He tired here going a mile on the grass at this $35K claiming price Jan. 3. Only his second start it was his first since debuting at Philly Park Nov. 4. Well backed in both starts, he's back on the dirt, shortening up, and think he'll be competitive at a big price.
