Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (SOUPER JAGUAR) (5-2) - A home bred son of 'Quality Road,' he's finished 2nd in both starts and was been beaten less than a length in each. Trainer Mark Casse adds blinkers, and this colt gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Amnesty) (3-1) - This colt sold for $650,000 as a 2yo in training back in March of 2018. Unraced last year, he rallied late when debuting in a dirt sprint here Jan. 19. Heavily bet hat day, trainer Todd Pletcher (29% second time out), switches him to the turf (17%), while stretching him out in distance (21%). A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Red Fog) (10-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, he has early speed and last out longshot was 2.5 lengths behind 'Souper Jaguar.' He's worked fast since and is capable of factoring at a big price.
4th pick: #9 (Lucky Mike) (6-1) - He was two lengths in back of 'Souper Jaguar' last out while a 1/2 in front of 'Red Fog.' Colt is clearly improving, but will need to try and avoid a wide trip from his outside post.
