She had finished second in her previous start (Oct. 19) for a $50K claiming price on the Santa Anita turf and think she can break her maiden in this spot.
2nd pick: #1 (Hardsense) (7-2) - Filly tired while wide sprinting here for a $25K tag on the Tapeta surface May 19. It was her first since Dec. 1 and in her only previous grass attempt, she missed by a 'neck' here at this level and distance Nov. 10. Stalker has the rail and is dangerous.
3rd pick: #6 (Irish Affair) (10-1) - Longshot raced evenly before making up a bit of ground here in the same 'off the turf' contest that saw 'Archana' run second. She was only a bit more than 2 lengths behind that rival and is capable of impacting at a big price.
4th pick: #11 (Rouge Bouquet) (6-1) - Stalker has been competitivein five straight starts at various levels and distances on the Tapeta surface. She was only a 'neck' in back of 'Archana' last out while finishing 2 lengths better than 'Irish Affair'. However, they both have better grass form and this filly's outside post hurts her overall prospects.
