It was her first since an impressive debut win here June 2 and she may have needed the start anyway. Working fast or this attempt, home bred will be very tough to beat in this spot.
2nd pick: #4 (Wild Mallory) (9-2) - Speedy and lightly-raced, she was a sharp gate-to-wire winner when debuting at this 5 furlong trip Feb. 10 at Delta Downs. Given a nine week break, she tired here after setting a quick and pressured pace here at this level going 5.5 furlongs April 11. Her early speed make her a bit dangerous.
3rd pick: #7 (Frolic) (6-1) - Stretch runner ships from the Fair Grounds where she raced both wide and evenly facing similar types going 6 furlongs March 28. Strong finisher is racing third back from a 5.5 month layoff and may get a slice of this at a square price.
4th pick: #6 (Singing a Song) (7-2) - On the sidelines since Aug. 23, well bred filly has been working steadily here for her return to action. Speed/stalker fits if ready and 4-year-old has done some of her best racing locally 6-1-2-1.
